Sung Jinwoo Guide

Featured

Since the majority of you requested an updated Sung Jinwoo guide - and the old one is already 6 months old now - here is a new, revised version.

Basics:

Stats Allocation:

Due to changes in how stat points are distributed, I’m only giving general recommendations now.

  • Strength: You need to dump most of your points here! This remains our most important stat by far.

  • Intelligence & Perception: You can still put 220 points into Intelligence. Similarly, put X points into Perception until you reach 80% Precision; this amount is perfectly sufficient.

  • Agility: Allocating points here is only worth it if your Crit/Crit Dmg stats are low. Otherwise, you can completely ignore it.

  • Vitality: DO NOT WASTE POINTS HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Aside from an TP boost that does absolutely nothing for you, you will just lose overall damage!"

Cores:

For our Sung Jinwoo, we ideally aim for the following Cores:

  • Ferocious Protector's Desire:

    • Mainstat: Always Attack %

  • Nameless Demon's Horn/Arrogant Ruler's Will:

    • Mainstat: Always Defense %

  • Teeth of the Watcher:

    • Mainstat: Always HP %

I am deliberately leaving out substats, as these depend on your Artifacts and where you can improve them specifically. However, here are some substats you can start farming: Crit Damage, Damage Increase, Crit Chance, Defense Penetration.

Gems:

Attack, Defense, and HP Gems should always be percentage-based, regardless of their rank.

  • Purple Gems: Allocate these into Additional MP and Mana Cost Reduction.

  • Orange Gems: This is where you'll find the biggest variation, as it heavily depends on your stat distribution.

    • If you don't want to waste stat points on Precision, you can slot in a few Precision gems here.

    • If you are going all-in on Guild Boss (GB), focus primarily on Defense Penetration (Def Pen).

    • Personally, I recommend a good split between the two, but ultimately, it's up to you.

Artifacts:

Thanks to the introduction of the new artifacts, we thankfully only have to use one set now:

Architect's Blue Poison.

Stats:

Since the meta seems to shift almost monthly regarding which Main Stat is superior - and with a Weapon Level increase on the way - things could change yet again. However, the current difference is relatively minor and not too far apart.

Just make sure that, whenever possible, you always have both Attack stats. Your other stats should ideally be Defense Penetration, Damage Increase, Crit Chance, and Crit Damage.

At Level 150, your stats should ideally look like this:

Stat

Recommended

Attack

125k

Precicion

80%-85%

Crit Chance

50% (~10k Points)

Crit Damage

~210%

Damage Increase

35%

Defense Penetration

35%+ (Depending on Content up to 50%)

Skill Runes:

Depending on the game mode, weapons used, and other factors, I'm skipping this part for now. I might update the guide at a later point to give specific recommendations based on the weapons you are running.

There is a possibility that Greed will become a must-use Shadow. Since this guide is being released ahead of his launch, I can't give a definitive answer just yet. I will likely update this selection once he drops

This guide should cover most, if not everything, for Sung Jinwoo, providing both new and even some veteran players with an overview of what to focus on to improve their Sung Jinwoo and what to aim for.
