Introduction
I am pleased to present the comprehensive Light Team Guide. This guide details every aspect of the build, including the best Hunter pairings, optimal Shadow selection, and recommended Artifacts & Cores.
As usual in my guides, I will present the optimal Artifacts, Cores, and team combinations. However, moving forward, I will no longer provide recommendations for minimum advancements or alternative Sets.
Instead, I will simply assume that your units are at A5. This significantly streamlines my work, and the constantly evolving content demands more and more A5 units anyway.
Likewise, I will now focus exclusively on the absolute best possible teams, which may also include Collab units.
Units
With the introduction of the Elemental Stacker, we now have four distinct roles in the game: Breaker, Support, DPS/Striker, and Elemental Stacker.
Some units act as "Hybrids," meaning they don't just fulfill their primary role but also take on a secondary one. This is typically a Sub-DPS role, allowing them to dish out a solid amount of damage alongside their main utility.
For the optimal Wind Team, we will be using the following lineup:
For the Light Team, the following units are used:
Thomas Andre: DPS
Laura Walker: Support
Antoine Martinez: Elemental Stacker
Team Composition
To ensure the highest possible damage, the Hunters should be placed in the team slots in this order:
Team | Slot 1 | Slot 2 | Slot 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
1. | Laura Walker | Antoine Martinez | Thomas Andre |
Unit Advancements
To unlock the team's full potential and tackle increasingly difficult content, I can only recommend A5 as the advancement level at this point.
This not only saves me a considerable amount of time, but also helps avoid any misconceptions - some players might assume that a team built around, say, A3 units could come anywhere close to the damage numbers that A5 units put out.
Spoiler: it can't.
Artifacts and Cores
With the recent introduction of class-specific sets, this section has become pretty straightforward. You'll simply always want to run the class-specific set - no exceptions.
Hunter | Artifact | Cores |
|---|---|---|
Thomas Andre | The Architect's Blue Poison | |
Antoine Martinez |
| |
Laura Walker | Noble Flesh |
Unit Stats
The stats we want to achieve for our Hunters are as follows:
Stats | HP Units | Attack & Defense Units |
|---|---|---|
Mainstat | 170k+ | 85k+ |
Crit Chance | 50% (8K+) | 50% (8K+) |
Crit Damage | 200%-210% | 200%-210% |
Def Pen | 30%+ | 30%+ |
Damange Increase | 30%+ | 30%+ |
Obviously, that is the ideal case. No one expects you to reach those stats as a beginner, but that is something you should aim for.
Team Rotation
The rotation should always begin with the Hunter in Slot 1 to apply the most important buffs and debuffs before the main DPS takes over.
You can find the exact rotation for each Hunter directly in-game under their respective profiles. These provided rotations are already optimal, so there is no need to invent alternative setups or overcomplicate things.
Simply repeat this rotation as many times as needed until the enemy is defeated.
Alternative Hunters
Thanks to the recent boost to Light Hunters, we have 2 decent alternatives: Shimizu Akari and Cha Hae-In. Just keep in mind that there is definitely a damage gap between the main units and these two alternatives.
Weapon Advancement Priority
Weapon priority is a frequently asked question, especially when players didn't play during the unit's release and have to craft the weapons afterwards.
As a rule, you should always craft and upgrade the weapon of the Main DPS Unit first.
Thomas Andre
Antoine Martinez
Laura Walker
Recommendation: Craft all weapons at least once and then upgrade them in this order.
Shadows
For the Shadows, we have the option to choose between two teams:
Setup | Main Shadow | Sub Shadow | Sub Shadow |
|---|---|---|---|
1. | Igris | Uros/Beste | Cerbi |
2. | Beste | Uros | Cerbi |
Remnant Power
To get the most out of the Water Team, we'll be running Rockpasa, since he provides boosts to all 3 of our classes.
Alternatively, you can use Myro for the TP Boost or small burst damage.
